For anyone participating in the doe hunt, make sure you have the appropriate firearm (straight walled cartridges only - shotgun slug/buck shot, 350, 400, 450) and required gear. Also come prepared for cold October weather — waterproof boots, gloves, hats and appropriate camouflage are highly recommended. Orange will be required when participating in the doe hunt (NO orange for waterfowl hunting). We’ll be gathering for Friday evening dinner/hangout at the Lawitski House, with multiple cabins available for the group lodging. This has become one of our favorite weekends of the year, and we’re looking forward to filling the cabins, sharing some laughs around the fire, and hopefully putting plenty of birds on the ground.
