🏹 BUCK POLE COMPETITION October 1 – November 30, 2026 Contest Overview The tradition of the buck pole is alive and well! Network Outdoors’ 2026 Buck Pole Competition brings together Michigan’s whitetail hunters to celebrate the pursuit of mature bucks. This is where dreams are measured, stories are shared, and legends are born. Whether you’re hunting for your biggest buck ever or supporting someone else’s success, the buck pole is a cornerstone of hunting tradition. Competition winners will be recognized at our Friends-giving Wild Game Dinner awards banquet (December 17, 2026). How to Enter Submit a clear photo of your buck with proof of valid Michigan hunting license visible. Include harvest date, actual weight, and antler details (points and spread if possible). Official scoring based on the Boone & Crockett scoring system (optional for reference - doesn’t increase your leaderboard score). Award Categories 1. Largest Typical Buck • Traditional point configuration • Scored by antler points and body weight • The classic trophy hunter’s prize • Bragging rights for the entire season 2. Largest Non-Typical Buck • Unique antler configurations • Bonus points and irregular points count • Recognizes the “character” of Michigan bucks • Often the most memorable hunts 3. First Buck Harvested - NEW HUNTER AWARD • Celebrating first-time buck harvesters • A milestone moment in any hunter’s journey • Special recognition and mentorship honor 4.
