🦆 WATERFOWL CONTEST September 1 – November 30, 2026 Contest Overview Network Outdoors is excited to announce our 2026 Waterfowl Contest in! This competition celebrates the waterfowlers of Michigan and recognizes hunters who excel at harvesting ducks and geese. Whether you’re a seasoned waterfowler or trying duck hunting for the first time, this contest is designed to bring our community together and showcase the tradition of fall waterfowling. All contestants will have the opportunity to compete for bragging rights and awards presented at our annual Friends-giving Wild Game Dinner (December 17, 2026). How to Enter Submit a photo of your harvest with proof of valid Michigan hunting license visible in the image. Include the species harvested, harvest date, and any relevant details. Submit entries through our online platform. Award Categories 1. Most Species Harvested (Drake Ducks & Geese) • Compete for the title of Michigan’s most versatile waterfowler • Points awarded for each species (mallards, wood ducks, teal, pintails, canvasbacks, etc.) • Drakes only (male ducks) - this focuses on sustainable harvest practices 2. First Duck or Goose Harvested - NEW HUNTER AWARD • Celebrating hunters taking their first waterfowl • Perfect opportunity for new hunters to get recognized • Honors mentors who brought newcomers into the sport 3. Best Harvest Photo • People’s Choice Award • Voted on by Network Outdoors community • Creativity, composition, and authenticity count • Share your best moment!
