🦌 WHITETAIL DOE CONTEST October 1 – November 30, 2026 Contest Overview The 2026 Whitetail Doe Contest highlights the importance of sound herd management and celebrates hunters who participate in Michigan’s doe harvests. Properly managed deer populations are essential to healthy forests and successful hunting seasons. This contest recognizes both the quantity and quality of doe harvests, with special recognition for those who donate their harvested game to the community. How to Enter Submit a photo of your harvest with proof of valid Michigan hunting license visible. Include harvest date, weight (if available), and any relevant details about your hunt. Donations to Michigan Sportsman Against Hunger (MSAH) must include documentation or a receipt to qualify for that award. Award Categories 1. Most Does Overall • Recognition for dedicated doe harvesters • Supports healthy herd management • All does count toward your total 2. Heaviest Doe • Competition based on dressed weight • Excellent protein source • Recognizes quality nutrition harvests 3. Most Meat Donated to MSAH • Supporting Michigan Sportsman Against Hunger • Your harvest feeds families in need • Combine hunting success with community service • Requires MSAH donation receipt/documentation 4. First Doe Donated to MSAH • COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD • Encouraging new hunters to give back • Honors the tradition of sharing the harvest • Requires MSAH donation receipt/documentation 5.
